The most unique, and certainly one of the strangest award seasons, continues with the announcement of nominations for the 93rd Academy Awards this week. Singer Nick Jonas and his wife, actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas, unveiled the nominations early in the morning on March 15th. When it was all said and done, 'Mank' led the pack with a total of 10 nominations.
The nominees were not only the most diverse the award show has ever seen but also history-making. Steven Yeun becomes the first Asian-American performer to ever be recognized in the Lead Actor category, while Riz Ahmed becomes the first Muslim performer to ever be recognized in the Lead Actor category. Additionally, for the first time, more than one female director was nominated in a single year.
Discover the winners when the Oscars ceremony airs live on ABC at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on Sunday, April 25.
