First Look at Robert Pattinson in the Batsuit

Fans have been eagerly awaiting the first glimpse of Robert Pattinson as the caped crusader. Following the revelation that Ben Affleck would no longer be donning the cowl in Matt Reeves’ 'The Batman', rumors have swirled about what Pattinson's rendition of the iconic character will entail. Now, Reeves has finally put those rumors to rest.

The video showcased a camera test shot by 'The Batman's' cinematographer Greig Fraser and is scored by the movie’s composer, Michael Giacchino.

It offered a glimpse of Pattinson in the suit as he approaches the camera, giving off major daredevil vibes. The shot highlights his chest, the Batman emblem (potentially doubling as his batarang), and concludes with a close-up of his face, gazing off-camera.

Even from this tiny glimpse, it's evident that the suit is heavily influenced by armor, more so than any previous iteration. The choice appears to lean towards a more tactical style, lending the character a heightened sense of realism.

Beyond the intriguing possibility of a batarang emblem (which is undeniably cool), I reserve my judgment on the suit until I see it in its entirety. With hope, that moment arrives soon.

'The Batman' is currently in production and is set to hit theaters on June 25, 2021.
